Role Overview

The Runner supports the service team by ensuring fast, accurate, and well-presented delivery of food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests. This role is essential to maintaining service speed, table flow, and operational efficiency during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities

Service Support

• Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to guest tables

• Ensure correct presentation, garnishes, and table placement

• Support waiters by maintaining service pace and flow

Floor & Section Support

• Assist with clearing and resetting tables

• Maintain cleanliness of service stations and pass areas

• Respond quickly to service needs during peak periods

Coordination & Communication

• Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and service teams

• Flag delays or issues to senior service staff promptly

• Support smooth handovers between shifts

Standards & Discipline

• Follow hygiene, safety, and service procedures at all times

• Maintain professional appearance and conduct

• Support opening and closing duties

KPIs & Success Metrics

• Speed and accuracy of delivery

• Service flow and table turnover

• Cleanliness of service areas

• Teamwork and reliability

Candidate Requirements

• Previous hospitality experience preferred but not essential

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment

• Strong teamwork and positive attitude

• Physical stamina and reliability
