**Role Overview**

The Cashier is responsible for processing guest transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering a professional and welcoming customer experience. This role plays an important part in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations through excellent attention to detail, integrity, and outstanding service.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Cash Handling & POS Operations**

- Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately using the POS system.

- Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.

- Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.

- Report any payment discrepancies to management promptly.  

**Guest Service**

- Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.

- Answer guest inquiries regarding payments, bills, and promotions.

- Resolve basic payment-related concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.   

**Operational Support**

- Coordinate with service and management teams to ensure accurate billing.

- Assist with takeaway and delivery order payments when required.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional cashier station.  

**Standards & Compliance**

- Follow company cash-handling procedures and financial controls.

- Adhere to hygiene, safety, and company policies at all times.

- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.

- Transaction accuracy

- Cash reconciliation accuracy

- Guest satisfaction

- Speed and efficiency of service

- Compliance with company policies and procedures   

**Candidate Requirements**

- 1–3 years of experience as a Cashier in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment.

- Experience using POS systems and handling cash transactions.

- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Positive attitude, honesty, and strong teamwork skills.
